This conference is the 9th edition of an event of international repute launched by Claude Berge in 1976 ( at the University of Orsay) and since then organized by the French Community of graph theory and combinatorics, every four or five years in different locations : Marseille- Luminy (1981, 1986, 1990 , 1995, 2000 ) , Hyeres (2005) , Orsay (2010).
This conference always brings a large number of researchers, experienced or beginners, teachers and students from all countries. At each edition , a dozen of the biggest names in the theory of graphs present their latest research at the plenary lectures. In addition, many other researchers have the opportunity to present their new results and to meet colleagues from all backgrounds.
It is therefore in the field of graph theory, the largest international conference taking place in France .
