The Rhône-Alpes Team Wins the Solar Decathlon Europe 2012!
G-SCOP, the company ENSE3 and Vesta-System, in collaboration with the IUT 1 G2II Grenoble and all the partners of the team contributed to the construction of a prototype house at scale 1, carried out by the School of Architecture of Grenoble. It developed an energy advisor which uses a digital representation of the building Cubes and data from a network of sensors to provide management advice to the occupants via an Android tablet. It indeed tells them what is the best position of the doors, the blackout for the next 24 hours; what is the best configuration of the heating system; if we should stock or destock heat and electricity; when it is better to start the washing machine according to the solar output and the battery stock, etc.
In addition to winning the contest that pitted teams from Germany, Brazil, China, Denmark, Spain, France, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Portugal and Romania, the Rhône-Alpes team wins the innovation prize. For more information: see the link to the website : Web link and Web link
